Georg Langs studied Mathematics at Vienna University of Technology, and finished his PhD in Computer Vision at Vienna University of Technology and Graz University of Technology in 2007. He worked as a post-doctoral associate at the Applied Mathematics and Systems Laboratory at Ecole Centrale de Paris, and the GALEN Group at INRIA-Saclay, Ile de France with Nikos Paragios from 2007 to 2008. He was a Research Scientist at Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2011, and joined the Faculty of Medical University of Vienna in 2011. He taught Computer Vision and Medical Imaging courses at Ecole Centrale de Paris, and teaches at Vienna University of Technology. He reviews for several Conferences and Journals, among them IEEE Transactions on Pattern Recogniton and Machine Intelligence, and IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging. Georg Langs is the Head of the Computational Image Analysis and Radiology Lab (CIR) at the Medical University of Vienna.

Jörg Studzinski is Director of Research and Advisory Services at HIMSS Analytics in Europe. He is responsible for product development, the validation of healthcare organisations based on HIMSS Analytics Maturity Models (e.g. EMR Adoption Model, Digital Imaging Adoption Model, Continuity of Care Maturity Model), market research and consulting engagements. His role also comprises speaking engagements at events from healthcare providers as well as the industry. Jörg’s professional background in academic research as well as in internationally active market research companies provides him with exhaustive experience in data collection, analysis, report writing as well as solution finding by working closely together with the client.

Rainer Herzog is a Senior healthcare industry executive with an excellent track record in leading international organizations.

He is acknowledged for building and developing new business towards consistent and sustainable growth, as well as for achieving strong operational, market and financial results. Rainer possesses a broad international general management experience, ranging from Life Sciences and Medical Technology to Healthcare and digital health. He owns a wide international network of decision makers, influencers and senior executives from politics, industry, and academia.

He previously worked with Roche Diagnostics, managing the company’s laboratory tests product line in France and also held the position of Head of International Marketing Cardiology at Schwarz Pharma in Germany.

Rainer then joined Ericsson as Head of Strategy & Business Development for the company’s e- and m-health business and later on was with Siemens Enterprise, where he worked as Global Segment Leader Healthcare.

At HIMSS, Rainer served as Managing Director of their European Organization and is currently General Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

He also consults digital health start-up companies and works with industry on patient-centric business strategies.

Rainer studied European Business Management in London and Reutlingen and lives in Munich.
